Marisol Vance
Former crime reporter. Thriller writer. Owner of a greyhound named Tuesday.

I spent twelve years covering courts and crime for a South Florida newspaper. Most of the cases I wrote about happened somewhere near the water, because most of South Florida is somewhere near the water.
I started writing fiction at 5 a.m. before my shift, because the real stories always stopped at the verdict and I wanted to know what happened after. Mangrove Hours took four years of early mornings. It won [Award name] for best debut in 2024.
Lena Ortiz is not me, but she drinks her coffee the way I do and she reads tide tables the way my grandfather taught me to, on the porch of a stilt house that the 1992 hurricane took.
I live on Key Biscayne with my husband, a retired racing greyhound named Tuesday and a shelf of almanacs going back to 1961.
